Welcome to the on-line home of the Mechanics of Materials Research Group. The MOMRG's cohort of student and faculty researchers engage in the systematic investigation of barriers to progress in Structural Integrity. Techniques from experimental, computational, and theoretical mechanics are all invoked to establish facts in the areas of Fatigue Analysis, Creep and Plasticity Constitutive Modeling, Life Prediction Modeling, Fracture Mechanics, Failure Analysis, Additive Manufacturing, Mechanics of Structures, Materials for Hypersonic Platforms, and so on. The group is directed by Dr. Ali P. Gordon of the Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) at the University of Central Florida (UCF). The group actively engages in both collaborative and interdisciplinary research.
